Telehealth now available for your clients

If your client is planning a trip abroad and has an Allianz Travel Protection Plan, they may now receive an email to register for available telehealth services, if telehealth services are available in one or more destinations your client plans to visit.*



We’re all aware of the benefits and assistance available for clients with a medical emergency while traveling—but what if their medical issue doesn’t require hospitalization and can be consulted for remotely—like a stomach bug or a migraine that’s interfering with their vacation plans?

That’s where telehealth services come in handy—and connections to these services are now available to your clients who purchase an Allianz Travel Protection Plan. Here’s how it works: If your client has purchased Allianz Travel Insurance for their trip abroad and one or more of their destinations are within the network of 83 countries where this service is available, they’ll receive an email before their trip, encouraging them to register for telehealth.

If your client registers, they’ll enjoy:

  • Easy, flexible scheduling for certain remote or in-person doctor visits
  • No up-front, out-of-pocket costs for medical consultations
  • A widespread, multi-lingual network of care providers

Your client may also be referred to telehealth services by a member of the Allianz Global Assistance team, if they call while traveling and it’s deemed a good fit for their needs.

Please keep in mind that out-of-pocket charges still apply for follow-up visits and/or medications and your customer must be traveling to one of the following countries for access:

If your customer is traveling abroad to an area these services are available, make sure you encourage them to register ahead of their trip. They’ll thank you for making it easier on them if they need convenient care during their stay!

Your client’s Allianz Global Assistance Travel Protection Plan may provide direct billing benefits for up to three Air Doctor telehealth sessions per person per trip.
